WESLEY POWERS
JERSEYVILLE – Wesley Edward Powers, 87, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Christian Hospital Northeast in Saint Louis County, Missouri.
He was born on March 14, 1938, in Rosedale, Illinois.
Wes started each morning the same way, with his Bible open. His faith guided him in all things and was the steady foundation of his life.
He had a knack for tinkering, especially with old Ferguson tractors. Many evenings were spent in the shed, tools in hand, and a project he was ready to finish. In the last couple years, Wes relied on his right hand men, Bruce and Wes to help with anything he needed.
Surviving are his five children, David (Davina) Powers, Angela (Wes) Roady, Jet (Bruce) Pinkerton, Holly McAdams, and Jolene Adair; a brother and sister-in-law, Lewie (Becky) Miles; 13 Grandchildren, 13 Great-Grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Barabra (Godar) Powers and Joella (McAdams) Powers; three sons, Kenny Powers, Gary Powers, and Carl Powers; two sisters, Joyce Scott and Alice Kreftmeyer; and a grandson, Jimmy Adair.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 from 9 a.m. until time of funeral services at 11 a.m., at the Faith Temple United Pentecostal Church.
Burial will immediately follow at the Rosedale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Faith Temple United Pentecostal Church.
