JERSEYVILLE - Wanda Marie Baiers, 83, died at 11:02 a.m., Tuesday, September 12, 2023 in the Emergency Room at Jersey Community Hospital.

She was born on April 21, 1940 in Gideon, Missouri and was the daughter of the late Thomas Ray and Cletta Fern (Henson) Berry.

She married Vernon Leroy Baiers on April 14, 1959 in Wichita, Kansas and together they were the proud parents of two children and shared in many wonderful memories as a family throughout their nearly 63 years of marriage, prior to his passing on March 22, 2022.

Wanda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her family brought her the greatest joys that this world could offer, most especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time planting flowers and working in her garden, was the absolute best cook and never missed an opportunity to explore a good yard sale!

Surviving are two children and their spouses, Marie and Billy Miller of Lake Lotawana, Missouri and Vernon and Angela Baiers of Jerseyville; eight grandchildren, Isaac Baiers (Bri Thompson), Tyler Baiers (Erica Blasa), Ellie Baiers, Olivia Baiers, Taylor Saladin, Madison Saladin, Devon Ralston and Keegan Ralston; five great grandchildren, Violet, Mable, Kathryn, Margot and Scarlett; three sisters, Judy Devane of Florida, Brenda Berry of Cleveland, Ohio and Diane Dibler of Florida; as well as a brother, Tony Berry of Kansas City, Missouri.

Private services were held with burial taking place at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.
