GREENFIELD – Troy Lee Bailey, 56, passed away unexpectedly at 3:12 p.m. on Friday, December 27, 2024 in Carrollton, Illinois.

Troy was born on June 21, 1968, in Carrollton, Illinois, the son of the late David Anthony and Joyce Marie (Buck) Bailey, Sr. He grew up in Medora and was a proud graduate of Southwestern High School.

After spending several years in Arkansas, Troy returned to the area, where he settled and made his home. For the past six years, he was employed as a Laborer at Alton Steel.

On June 29, 2018, Troy married Jessica Price in a backyard ceremony at her home in Fayette, a day filled with love and cherished memories.

Troy had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and loved spending time on the water fishing, hunting for mushrooms, and enjoying the natural beauty around him. Above all, he cherished his family, especially the time he spent with his children and grandchildren.

Troy is survived by his wife, Jessica Bailey of Greenfield; four children, Amanda (Joshua) Crosby of Benton, Arkansas, Austin (Ashley) Becker of Greenfield, Samantha Bailey (Tim Scott) of Jerseyville and Andrew Bailey of Carrollton; ten grandchildren, Trenton and Layton Russell, Landon and Lily Crosby, Kya, Nova and Lennon Becker, Kayden and Karter Scott and Jaxon Fisher; two brothers, William Bailey of Fayette and Joshua Bailey of Fidelity.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Anthony Bailey Jr.

In accordance with his wishes, no public services will be held.

Troy’s family will forever hold his memory close, remembering his love and the simple joys he found in life.
