Sharon Lee (Pace) Hagerman

ALTON – Sharon Lee (Pace) Hagerman, passed away at 6:08 a.m., Friday, August 15, 2025 at Alton Memorial Hospital.

She was born on May 22, 1936 in Arkansas to the late Troy and Lucille (Ridenhour) Pace.

On September 2, 1957, she married Robert Leo Hagerman and together were blessed with three children. He passed away on March 12th, 2007.

Family was the center of her world, and nothing brought her more joy than the title “Grandma” or “Aunt Sharon”. Her grandchildren were her greatest treasure, and she cherished each moment spent with them.  Everyone loved her homemade denim blankets.

In her younger years, Sharon had a bold and adventurous spirit that led her to the racetrack, where she found excitement in racing stock cars.  She carried that same determination and energy into every stage of life, leaving a legacy of strength, grit, and love.

She is survived by her three children, Scheryl Tyler of Bethalto, IL., Robert “Bob” (Chris) Hagerman of Benton, IL., and Sharon “Cindy” Searcy of Cottage Hills, IL.; a brother, Steven (Becky) Pace of Jerseyville,; 9 grandchildren and their families. Jeremy Kleis, Kyle Clark, Josh Clark, Troy Hagerman, Ashley Huber, Jena Steenlage, Robby Hagerman, Danny Hagerman, Olivia Hagerman, Talon Selph and Myla Baldaino, Anna and Alexis Bollinger. 14 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and foster children.

She is also survived by her brother Steven and wife Becky and her sister in-law Charlene Pace.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sister Marion and husband Matt Westfall, Brother Troy (Bud) and wife Bean Pace, Albert Pace and dearest friend Lyle Pace and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m., until time of services at 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville with Pastor Robby Hagerman officiating the service.

Burial will immediately follow at Valhalla Memorial Park Cemetery in Godfrey.
