Sandra Lee (Stoddart) Johnson

SANDRA JOHNSON

JERSEYVILLE – Sandra Lee (Stoddart) Johnson, 79, passed away at 3:30 p.m., Friday, February 19, 2021 at her residence. 

She was born in Clairton, Pennsylvania on August 30, 1941 to the late Gustave and Gabrielle (Giba) Stoddart and graduated with the Class of 1960 from Clairton High School. 

Sandra spent the majority of her life residing in Pennsylvania, relocating to Jerseyville from West Newton, PA in September of 2016 to be closer to her daughter and family. 

Sandra had a way about her that drew you and her positive outlook was contagious. Through the highs and lows of life, her warm smile and calm demeanor always shined through, a perfect combination for a lifelong career in healthcare, retiring as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Redstone Nursing Home in Greensburg, Pennsylvania in 2004. 

Sandra enjoyed playing Bingo, knitting and had recently started building birdhouses to replicate people’s homes, which she thoroughly enjoyed doing and presenting to her friends and family. 

Surviving are four children, Jeanine Shaner of Jerseyville, Clyde Johnson Jr. of Monongahela, Pennsylvania, Suzane Park of West Newton, Pennsylvania and Robert Gus Johnson of , Monongahela Pennsylvania;  nine grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; two brothers, Gus Stoddart Jr. of Donora, Pennsylvania and John Stoddart of Austin, Texas; as well as a sister, Lillian Dietzer of Georgia.  

Per her wishes, cremation rights will be accorded and no services are planned at this time. 

Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville has been entrusted with arrangements.
