GODFREY - Robert Skelton, 57, passed away at 4:20 a.m., Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Alton Memorial Hospital. 

He was born on October 10, 1968 in Alton to the late Brenda Fay Warix and Dennis Aubrey Skelton.

On September 18, 2004, Robert married Brenda Hall, and together they have shared in 21 years of marriage.

Robert proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, an experience that shaped his strong sense of discipline and dedication. Following his military service, he built a respected career as a glazier with Local 513 out of St. Louis, Missouri. Throughout his career, Robert was known not only for his skill in the trade, but also for his commitment to teaching and coordinating others.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Skelton of Godfrey; his children and grandchildren, whom he loved deeply, Mallory and Mitch Madson, Samantha Skelton, Branden Skelton, Jeremy and Liz Hall, and Shane Tinnon and Diana Scheffel.

He is also survived by his sister, Carolyn Drulard; two half-sisters, Dottie Chappell and Denise Arnold, both of Pennsylvania; and Janice Shanks Drulard, who was very special to him, along with many other family members and loved ones.

A private ceremony will be held at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.
