JERSEYVILLE - Robert L. Daniels, 73, died at 8:18 a.m., Monday, November 13, 2023 at Jerseyville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

He was born in Carrollton, Illinois on February 1, 1950, and was one of twelve children born to Everett J. and Emma (Isringhausen) Daniels.

Bob attended Carrollton High School, and was employed for many years with the City of Jerseyville, serving as Sexton of Oak Grove Cemetery, and retired in 2002 as the Superintendent of Public Property.

He married the former Donna Long on January 30, 1970 at the Kane Baptist Church, and together they shared 49 years of marriage before her death on March 6, 2019.

He and his wife, Donna enjoyed camping in their spare time, and as of late, if you could keep him stocked in Diet Dr. Pepper you would certainly climb to the top of his list.

.Surviving are a daughter and son in-law, Melissa and Fred Burch of Grafton; a son and daughter in-law, Robert "Bobby" and Casey Daniels of Jerseyville; five grandchildren and their spouses, Shon and Lacey Graden of Florissant, Mo., Melissa and Eric Smay of East Alton, Wyatt Daniels, Carly Daniels and Ethan Daniels all of Jerseyville; four great grandchildren, Robert, Eragon, Atreyu, and Ember; two sisters, Kimberly Roberts and Sharon Acree, both of Jerseyville; and two brothers, Leo "Woody" Daniels of Alton and Raymond Daniels of Ina; along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Judy Ann Daniels, Camilla Waltrip, Nevada Lay and Loretta Drake; and three brothers, George Daniels, Richard Daniels and Loren Clifford Daniels.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Kane Baptist Church with Pastor Jared Ritchey officiating.

Burial will be in the Kane Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to either the Kane Baptist Church or Kane Cemetery.
