PHILLIP PREGLER

JERSEYVILLE – Preston Phillip Pregler Sr., 72, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023 at SSM Health DePaul Hospital in Bridgeton, Missouri.

He was born on August 16, 1951 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and was the son of Preston Peary and Mildred (Jackson) Pregler.

The family relocated to Illinois when Phillip was 14 years old, spending the rest of his childhood residing in the Kane area and graduating with the Class of 1969 from Carrollton High School.

He was employed for 43 years with Olin Corporation, where he retired as a Foreman at the casting plant.

Surviving are his mother, Mildred Pregler of Jerseyville; two children, Penny Pregler Clark and Paul Pregler, both of Mt. Olive; four grandchildren, Brittany Pregler, Wyatt Clark, Mason Clark and Jazmine Pregler; three great grandchildren, Joslyn, Bryson and Graison; a brother, Peary Pregler; two sisters and brothers in-law, Paula and Tim Thomas and Pattie and Mark Greg McDanel, all of Jerseyville.

He was preceded in death by his father; a son, Preston Phillip Pregler Jr.; as well as a grandson, Bryan Allen Retherford.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023 from 1-2 p.m. at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.

Graveside services will immediately follow at the Kane Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Association, in care of the funeral home.
