PHYLLIS PALOS

JERSEYVILLE – Phyllis Ann Palos, 88, passed away at 12:30 p.m., Sunday, August 11, 2024 at Jerseyville Manor.

She was born on November 20, 1935 in Carrollton, Illinois, where she was raised during her childhood years.

She was employed for many years as a Housekeeper at Jersey Community Hospital, and enjoyed the many friendships she made there during her career.

She married Ronald Delp on February 14, 1995 in Dow. Throughout their nearly 17 years of marriage, Phyllis and Ronnie enjoyed traveling the country and camping with one another. Nearly as much as the trips themselves, Phyllis enjoyed taking as many photos as possible along the way and creating well detailed scrapbooks of each adventure they took. Following Ronnie’s passing on January 18, 2012, Phyllis married Archie Palos and he survives.

Also surviving are four children, Paul (Billie) Guthrie Jr. of Roodhouse, Vickie Nilsson of Florissant, Missouri, Danny (Martha) Guthrie of Anaheim, California and Sheila (Clyde) Branham of Wentzville, Missouri; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; as well as a sister, Mary Huff of Medora.

In addition to her husband, Ronnie, she was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Louise Kelley; three brothers, Ronald Lee, Terry Leon and Harry Leroy Kelley; a sister in infancy, Eleanor Lee Kelley and two sisters, Harriet Storll and Geraldean Farris.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until time of funeral services at 2 p.m., Friday, August 16, 2024 at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.

Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.
