JERSEYVILLE - Norma Nadine Conrad, 82, died at 9:45 p.m., Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at Mercy South Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
She was born in Granite City, Illinois on November 24, 1937 and was the daughter of Luther and Blanche (Griffin) Howland.
Norma loved to travel and go to every yard sale within driving distance with her daughter in-law, Bev, and enjoyed the many adventures she had with her good friend, Alicia Tonsor. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and was particularly fond of playing cards, word search puzzles, and a good Pabst Blue Ribbon.
Surviving are four children and a daughter in-law, Allen "Buford" Conrad and LaVonne Abbott, both ofJerseyville; Donna Alderson of Lena, IL and Steve and Cindy Conrad of Eldred; five grandchildren, Jason Branham, Amy Pointer and Ashley Conrad all of Jerseyville, Jennifer Gamblin of Wood River, and Bradley Daiker of Lena; seven great grandchildren, Chance Pointer of Chesterfield, Micah Daiker and Ellie Daiker both of Lena, Chase Devening and Cadence Devening both of Jerseyville; Wyatt Gamblin of Wood River and Kayla Conrad of Jerseyville; and two sisters and a brother in-law, Karen and Thomas Jones of Jerseyville, and Delores Johnson of Wood River, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Conrad on Dec. 17, 1982; a son and daughter in-law, Wesley and Beverly Jean Conrad; a great grandson, Logan Devening; her father, Luther Howland; her mother and step-father, Blanche and Harry Hayes; a sister and brother in-law, Robert and Joanne Delp; and a brother, William Howland.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1 p.m. on Monday at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.
Burial will take place in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.
Memorials may be given to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tn.
