MARY ANN DAUM
JERSEYVILLE - Mary Ann (Heneghan) Daum, 77, died at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at her home.
She was born on June 6, 1948, the oldest child of Lloyd S. Heneghan and Mary Helen (Miller) Heneghan. Following the death of her mother Mary Helen on May 9, 1957, Lloyd married her stepmother Evelyn (Becker) Heneghan. Mary Ann had a special place in her heart for a Great Aunt Helen (Flamm) Palmer Hughes, who was like an extra Grandmother to her.
On June 6, 1970 she married and later divorced Charles C. Daum Jr., with whom she had four children, Shana (Brett) Vetter of Carrollton, Charles C. Daum III, of Jerseyville, Alison Kirkwood (Jeremy Robeen) of Jerseyville, and Julia (Christopher) Roemer of Godfrey. She has two granddaughters that brought her immense joy, Sydney Kirkwood and Irissa Roemer.
Surviving are her children and grandchildren and her siblings, Jeane (Stephen) Dean of Quincy, IL, Joseph (Rita) Heneghan of Jerseyville, Charlotte Heneghan of Jerseyville, and Linda (Rick) Martin of Oklahoma City, OK, and Aunt Sister Helen Becker of Springfield, IL and Uncle Charles Becker of Springfield, IL. Nieces and Nephews, Scott (Angie) Dean of Quincy, IL, Sean (Som) Dean of Quincy, IL, Dustin (Jena) DuPont of Parker, CO, Melissa Mendoza of Vallejo, CA, Mike Heneghan of Rio Vista, CA, Matt Heneghan, of Jerseyville, Jenna Strawhun (Tyler Smith) of Columbia, MO, Jeremy (Emily) Heneghan of St. Louis, MO, Shannon Strawhun of University City, MO and many cousins and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and stepmother, her former husband and her brother Thomas Heneghan and sister in law Donna Walker Heneghan and a nephew Brian Daum.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m., Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Jerseyville, with burial to follow at St. Francis Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the Midwest Chapter of the Easter Seals.
