Mark Allen Porter

GRAFTON – Mark Allen Porter, 60, passed away at 12:00 a.m., Saturday, May 21, 2022 at his home in Grafton.

He was born in Alton, Illinois on August 20, 1961 to the late Gerald “Munk” and Joan “Ma” (Porter) Staton.

Mark was a lifelong resident of Grafton and was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He also enjoyed working on anything that involved an engine, which led him to own and operate his own Small Engine Repair Shop.

Surviving are a son, Christopher Porter of Wood River, IL.; a daughter, Stephanie Porter of Louisville, KY.; a cousin, Steven (Cindy) Hayes of Grafton; an aunt, Barbara Williams of Beaverton, OR.; Uncle and Aunt, Bill and Gail Porter of Fox Lake, cousins, Debbie Azzarello of Wood River and Keith Porter of Godfrey, along with many other cousins and extended family members.

In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Matthew “Mater” Porter.

Per his wishes, Mark was cremated and a private service will be held at a later date.
