JERSEYVILLE -  Lisa Dawn McClain, 59, died at 5:50 a.m., Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Jerseyville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Alton, Illinois on November 15, 1963, and was the daughter of Orvie Endes and Beulah (Daniel) McClain.

Lisa graduated in 1981 from Jersey Community High School in Jerseyville, and was a member of Dow Southern Baptist Church.

She was very active with the Special Olympics, earning a second place medal in softball, and enjoyed bowling, participating in a bowling league in Wood River.

She also enjoyed music, needle work, writing and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals.

She is survived by her father O.E. "Mac" McClain of Jerseyville; two sisters and a brother in-law, Patricia and Jim Walkington of Meredosia and Vickie Sue Clark of Tower Hill; a brother and sister in-law, Robert and Debbie McClain of Ennis, Mt.; a sister in-law, Helene "Sissy" McClain of Houston, Mo.; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Beulah McClain; two brothers and a sister in-law, Paul and Sally McClain and Donald McClain; and a brother in-law, James Clark.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Monday at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville, where funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday.  Rev. David Brown will officiate.

Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.

Memorials may be given to the Vahle Terrace Recreation Fund in Jerseyville.
