LesleAnn Grossius Obituary

LESLEANN GROSSIUS

JERSEYVILLE – LesleAnn Grossius, 80, passed away at 1:52 p.m., Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, following complications from a heart attack on Thanksgiving Day.

She was born on July 28, 1943 in Saint Louis, Missouri, the eldest of four children born to the late Joseph S. and Roberta (Hennessey) Fleming Jr.

She was raised in Jennings, Missouri and graduated with the Class of 1960 from Fairview High School in Jennings.

She raised her family in Florissant, Missouri and resided in Hazelwood, Missouri for many years, prior to relocating to Jerseyville, to be closer to her daughter and family in 2014.

She spent the majority of her working career as a Bookkeeper for various companies throughout the years, and ultimately retired from Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals in 2009 as a Customer Service Assistant.

From a young age, she developed a love for swing dancing, and did so as often as she could with her friends. Family was extremely important to her, and she loved nothing more than spending time with them. Her family is comforted in knowing that she is at peace as she danced her way into Heaven’s gates.

Surviving are three children, Brian Robert Buddeke of Alton, Barbara Ann (Robert) Schnettgoecke of Grafton and Linda Louise LeJeune of Florida; five grandchildren, John (Katie) Schnettgoecke of Jerseyville, Julie (Justin) Young of Grafton, Jackie (Armondo) Galeana of Jerseyville, Jacob Schnettgoecke of Grafton and Jayme (Will) Croquart of Arkansas; six great grandchildren, Vivienne and Vale Schnettgoecke, Ella Young, Camila Galeana and Archer and Dahia Croquart; two sisters, Maureen Wiltse of Florida and Christine Fleming-Feit of Wisconsin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a beloved son, Thomas W. Buddeke Jr.; a grandson, Anthony Buddeke; a great granddaughter, Ava Schnettgoecke; as well as her brother, Michael Fleming.
