JEROME PLUMMER
JERSEYVILLE - Jerome Chester Plummer, 70, died at 12:20 a.m., Sunday, February 28, 2021 at Jerseyville Manor Nursing Home.
He was born in Carrollton, Illinois on February 5, 1951, and was the youngest child born to Harry C. and Mary A. (Madison) Plummer.
Jerome grew up in Calhoun County for the majority of his life, and could often be found riding his bicycle around the area. He possessed a perfect disposition, and never met a stranger, always happy to see anyone. He especially enjoyed his many trips with his brothers and nephews, with some of his favorite destinations being Las Vegas, Nevada, Tunica, Mississippi, Six Flags, and the Bagnell Dam at the Lake of the Ozarks.
Surviving are his two brothers and a sister in-law, Harry Delbert Plummer of Jerseyville and Eldon and Holly Plummer of Spring Hill, Florida.; and four nephews.
In addition to his parents, He was preceded in death by brothers, SSGT James A. Plummer, who died from injuries sustained in a helicopter crash during the Vietnam War, Melvin Plummer, and A/2C John E. Plummer; an infant brother, Junior Plummer; two infant sisters, Margaret and Virginia Plummer; and four nephews, Ronnie Plummer, Billy Plummer, John Plummer and Mike Plummer; and two sisters in-law, Ginger Plummer and Trudy Plummer.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., Friday, March 5, 2021 at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Hardin City Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the New Life Tabernacle in Delhi, Illinois.
