DELHI – Jeanette Rose Bailey, 71, passed away at 2:30 p.m., Monday, October 21, 2024 at Christian Hospital Northeast.

She was born on August 22, 1953 in Carrollton, Illinois and was the daughter of the late Robert and Dolores (Wilton) Probst.

She was employed at the Jerseyville Shop N’ Save for many years as a cashier, where her friendly smile and kind spirit touched the lives of countless customers.

Outside of work, she found joy in tending to her flowers and watching the hummingbirds that frequented her garden. Jeanette loved spending time outdoors, especially fishing with her devoted husband, Keith, and camping at Kentucky Lake, where they made many wonderful memories together. She also enjoyed dining out, and she never passed up the chance to indulge in her favorite treat – ice cream.

Jeanette’s warm heart and love for life’s simple pleasures will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Surviving are her husband, Keith Bailey of Delhi; a daughter and son in-law, Melinda and Rick Cummings of Jerseyville; two step-daughters and their spouses, Kathy and Rodney Gvillo of Bunker Hill and Kerry and Chad Lundstrom of Anderson, Indiana; three grandsons, Nick, Kyle and Alex Cummings; seven step-grandchildren, Toby Gvillo, Toni Ostmann, Chaise Gvillo, Bailey Gvillo, Abram Yeskie, Devin Yeskie and Sidney Lundstrom; a great granddaughter, Aubrey Cummings; numerous step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Dennis Probst; as well as two nieces.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bob Probst; her mother and step-father, Dolores and Jerry Waugh; as well as a sister and brother in-law, Cheryl and Larry Graham.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of Funeral Services at 1 p.m., Friday, October 25, 2024 at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.

Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Riverbend Humane Society, in care of the funeral home.
