JANET PATTON

DOW – Janet Sue Patton, 82, passed away at 8:00 a.m., Monday, January 13, 2025 at Thomas H. Boyd Memorial Hospital in Carrollton.

Janet was born on April 4, 1942, in Newbern, Illinois, to the late Arthur and Margaret (Mandorica) Lane. She graduated with the Class of 1959 from Jersey Community High School and married the love of her life, Garry Patton, on July 22, 1962, at the Assembly of God Church in Newbern. Together, they built a life filled with cherished memories and shared blessings.

She was employed as a Sales Clerk at CVS, where her kind demeanor and warm smile left a lasting impression on those she served. A longtime and devoted member of the Grafton Full Gospel Church, Janet lived her life guided by faith, bring joy and kindness to those around her.

Janet had a passion for gardening and took great pride in tending to her flowers, find peace and beauty in nature. She was also an animal lover, with a special fondness for her cats, who were her faithful companions.

Janet is survived by her beloved husband, Garry, and two dear cousins, Mille Ritter and Robert Ketchem.

In accordance with her wishes, no public services will be held. She will be laid to rest at the Newbern Cemetery in Dow.

Janet will be remembered for her gentle spirit and the love she brought into the lives of those who knew her.
