JAMES ADAIR, JR.
JERSEYVILLE - James Clifford Adair, Jr., 35, died at 7:28 p.m., Monday, July 1, 2024 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
He was born in Sangamon County, Illinois on May 11, 1989 and was the son of James and Jolene (McAdams) Adair.
Jimmy was a loving husband, father, brother, and uncle. He worked at Jersey Community Hospital as an EMT for several years. In addition, he volunteered with the QEM Fire Protection District in Elsah, Alton Search and Rescue and would assist the Jerseyville Fire Department if a call was made. He was a very generous man and always willing to help anyone he could.
Jimmy never met a stranger and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his long time friend, Chris Roberts.
He married Brittany James on December 3, 2023 in Jerseyville, Illinois.
Surviving are his wife, Brittany Adair of Jerseyville; a son and daughter, Bowen and Adalynn of Jerseyville, his parents, James and Jolene Adair of Jerseyville; mother in-law, Michelle James of St. Ann, Missouri; father in-law, Darren Whitehead of South St. Louis County, Missouri; step-grandfather, Wesley “Wes” Powers of Jerseyville; two sisters and brother in-law, Janelle and Brandon Dunham of Jerseyville and Jennifer Adair of Jerseyville; brother and sister in-law, Charles and Charlene Adair of Collinsville; brother, Wesley Adair of Cuba, Missouri; two nieces, Kyleigh Hoots and her companion, Zander Little, of Jerseyville and Skylar Dunham of Jerseyville; three nephews, Logan and Connor Dunham and Gage Adair, all of Jerseyville who he was especially close to, as well as many more nieces and nephews; aunt and uncles, Joetta and Bruce Pinkerton, Angela and Wes Roady and Holly McAdams, all of Jerseyville; Great-Uncle, Paul McAdams of Jerseyville; as well as numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Colton Adair; great-grandparents, Mildred and Orville Lockhart and Mertle and Robert McAdams; grandparents, Joella (McAdams) Powers and Robert McAdams, Rose (Busby) and Auston Adair; two uncles, Michael and Robert McAdams; as well as two brothers, George and Leroy Adair.
Visitation will be Friday, July 12, 2024 from 9 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. at the Faith Temple Pentecostal Church in Jerseyville.
Burial will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family, in care of Crawford Funeral Home to help assist with a monument.
