GRAFTON - Jackie Gilbert “Jack”  Marshall, 83, died at 3:45 a.m., Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Jerseyville Manor.

He was born on January 24, 1942, in Jersey County, Illinois, one of three sons born to the late Elmer and Deloris (Weaver) Marshall.

Jack served our country honorably with the United States Army, in communications. 

He was employed as a  salesman with William F. Brockman Company in Jerseyville. Outside of work, he enjoyed the simple joys of life - camping, fishing, farming, and horseback riding - and in his younger years, he had a fondness for race cars and the thrill that came with them.

Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and John Howell of Jerseyville; three grandchildren, Joseph Howell of Jerseyville, Justin (Hannah) Howell of Grafton, and Jacob Howell of Jerseyville; five great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Jayce, Kinsley, James, and Kamden Howell; along with two brothers and sisters-in-law, Howard and Anna Marshall of Grafton, and Lloyd and Phyllis Marshall of Grafton.

Private inurnment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will host a Celebration of Life at a later date to honor and remember Jack’s life.
