ALTON - Heather Diane (Chandler) Golley, 47, died unexpectedly at 5:16 a.m., Sunday, December 25, 2022 at her residence of natural causes.

She was born in Alton, Illinois on May 16, 1975, one of three children born to David and Sylvia (Godar) Chandler of Jerseyville.

Heather grew up in Jerseyville, and graduated in 1993 from Jersey Community High School. She was currently employed at Claire's at the Alton Square Mall, as well as being a Financial Service Consultant with First Community Credit Union in Godfrey.

She married Daniel Golley on June 8, 2001 in Las Vegas, Nevada and he survives.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by two daughters, Izabella Golley, a student at University of Illinois-Urbana-Champaign, and Alexandra Golley of Jerseyville; a step-daughter, Jaymee Golley and her two daughters, Brooklynn and Abrielle of Alton; two brothers and sisters in-law, Keith and Tara Chandler of Holiday Shores and Chad and Marti Chandler of Jerseyville; and her feline companion, Punkin.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Dorothy Chandler and Alfred and Viola Godar.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Jerseyville, with Father Hyland Smith officiating.

She will be laid to rest in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery in Jerseyville.

Memorials may be given for the assistance of her daughters, in care of the funeral home.
