GERRY GRIZZLE

JERSEYVILLE - Laura Geraldine "Gerry" Grizzle, 85, died at 9:47 p.m., Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Jerseyville Manor Nursing Home.

She was born in Jerseyville on April 9, 1940, the last surviving child born to the late William Henry and Katherine Irene (Bybee) Hildred.

She attended Kane Schools, and graduated in 1958 from Jersey Community High School in Jerseyville.

With the exception of a short time employed at Shop 'n Save in Jerseyville, Gerry devoted her time as a homemaker, caring for her family, loving her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter and son in-law, Vicki and Allen Ebbler of Casey; a son and daughter in-law, Mark and Mary Fenstermaker of Jerseyville; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Derek) Kuklenski of Winter Garden, Florida, Stephan (Maddie) Ebbler of Casey, Nick Fenstermaker of Troy Missouri, and Haley (Leslie) Moran of Jerseyville; six great grandchildren, Xander, Bowen, Faith, Dean, Annabelle, and Lynndell; along with her dearest friend, Marilyn Horn of Rantoul.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great grandson, Colton Allen Adair; two sisters, Peggy Brown and Sandra Baker; and three brothers, Donald, Robert and Randall "Sonny" Hildred.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of funeral services at 12 noon on Friday, January 2, 2025 at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.  Her son in-law, Rev. Allen Ebbler will officiate.

Private burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.

Memorials may be given to First Fruits in Jerseyville.
