DIANE WALLACE
JERSEYVILLE - Diane M. Wallace, 75, passed away at 7:28 a.m., Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at her home in Jerseyville.
She was born on March 20, 1951 in Batavia, Illinois, to the late Harry and Eleanor (Mitchell) Schroeder. She was raised in Batavia, where she spent her early years surrounded by family and lifelong memories before eventually making her home in Jerseyville.
She married Larry Wallace on May 10, 1991 in Jerseyville, and together they shared many years of companionship, love and devotion to one another.
Diane retired as an Administrative Assistant with Heneghen, Cutting & Rice Insurance Agency in Jerseyville, where she was known for her dedication and dependable nature. She valued the friendships she made throughout the years and took pride in her work and the life she built alongside Larry.
Surviving are her husband, Larry Wallace of Jerseyville; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Loretta “Lori” Schroeder of Naperville, Douglas Wallace of Hamburg, Tracy (Roberta) Wallace of Jerseyville, Laura (Jeffrey) Kadell of Jerseyville and Toni Woolsey of Dow; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Barbara (Ken) Sanquist, Frederick “Fritz” Schroeder, Maxine (Delwin Larry “Buck”) Herra, Lynn Johnson and William Schroeder; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Douglas and Marilyn Wallace; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Sara Jean Wallace, Sherri Finney, Mike Wallace, Roger Wallace and Gary Woolsey; a nephew, Craig Finney; and a great-nephew, Caiden Wallace.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville has been entrusted with arrangements.
