DELANEY MARTIN


JERSEYVILLE – Delaney Lea Martin, 63, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at SSM St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond Heights, Missouri.


She was born on January 18, 1961 in McAllen, Texas and was the daughter of the late Glenn and Darlene (Bone) Wright.


She was employed as a Terminal Supervisor with Holland Trucking and was known for her big heart and always seeing the best in people. She consistently put the needs of others before her own and would do anything she could to help anyone in need.


Surviving are a son, Glenn Michael Gonzalez of Brownsville, Texas; a daughter and son in-law, Chelsey and Konor Yates of Jerseyville; three grandchildren, Daniel Pena, Autumn Rose Rutherford and Karlee Elizabeth Yates; as well as her five siblings and their spouses, Walter and Tomi Neuendorff of Kennesaw, Georgia, Bonnie and Randy Cummins of Palestine, Texas, Richard and Gina Neuendoff of College Station, Texas, Ken Blusterbaum of Port Lavaca, Texas and Jim and Shannon Jones of Vermont, Illinois.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her best friend, Porkey Grimmett; along with many truck drivers and friends.


Memorial Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, February 16, 2024 at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.
