DAVID PRICE

JERSEYVILLE – David E. Price, 78, died at 9:20 a.m., Thursday, December 26, 2024 at Calhoun Nursing and Rehab Center in Hardin.

He was born on October 6, 1946 in East Hardin, Illinois and was the son of the late Ollie and Alberta Marie (Hunter) Price.

A graduate of Wood River High School, David went on to obtain his Associates Degree as a Machinist from Lewis and Clark Community College in Godfrey. For many years, he worked as a Laborer in the Construction industry.

David enjoyed his days participating in Football and Baseball. He never met a stranger, and enjoyed being out and about and socializing with others.

Surviving are two children, Jessica Price and Brian O’Toole; a sister, Sharon Elmore of Streator; four brothers, Leon (Betty) Price of Brighton, Ollie Price Jr. of Kane, Frank Price of Jerseyville and Mark Price of Jerseyville; as well as a brother in-law, Gilbert Morris of Jerseyville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Damon and Dale Price; six brothers, Carl (Mildred) Price, Jerry Price, Larry “Weasel” Price, Bruce (Twila) Price, James Price and Michael Price; as well as five sisters, Marcella (George) Branham, Ruth Decker, Evelyn Morris, Alberta Price and Janet Price

No public services will be held.
