CRYSTAL DICKMAN

GRAFTON – Crystal Rose Dickman, 40, died at 3:59 p.m., Monday, May 15, 2023 in Carrollton, Illinois.

She was born on June 2, 1982 in Saint Louis, Missouri to Clyde and Rose (Woelfel) Dickman.

Crystal was a gifted artist and lover of music. She never met a stranger, and her quit wit and impeccable sense of humor drew people to her.

While Crystal had her demons, they did not define who she was. Often misunderstood, Crystal was fierce and resilient. She was incredibly creative, loving, crazy when she needed to be, and possessed a bold, outspoken and eccentric personality. She was a mother, a daughter, a sister, a grandmother, niece, cousin and a true friend to those who needed it most.

Surviving are her mother and step-father, Rose and Glen Hotop of Old Monroe, Missouri; her father and step-mother, Clyde and Robin Dickman of Iron County, Missouri; her paternal grandmother, Dorothy Dickman of Greenville; five children, Kyle Dickman of Troy, Missouri, Breanna Garner of Troy, Missouri, Haley Calvert-Norris, Emma Calvert-Norris and Dani Calvert-Norris, all of Pekin; three grandchildren, Klaytin, Auggie and Audrey; her siblings, Danielle Dickman of Bunker Hill, Jesse Woods and Dyland Wood, both of Iron County, Missouri, and Cheyenne Hazelwood of Grafton. Along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Clyde Dickman; maternal grandparents, Leo and Theresa Woelfel; as well as an uncle, David Woelfel.

Private services will be held at a later date.

Crystal, wherever you are, we hope that there are elephant rides and butterflies.
