CAROLYN SUE RUTLEDGE

JERSEYVILLE - Carolyn Sue Rutledge, 72 , passed away peacefully passed away at 5:05 a.m. on Friday, November 10, 2023 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in Saint Louis, Missouri.

She was born December 15, 1950, in Springfield, Illinois and was the daughter of the late John and Frances (Howard) Bramley.  

Carolyn married Don Rutledge on October 3, 1986, in Shipman and together they recently celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary.

Carolyn was a homemaker that loved being with her family. She enjoyed playing BINGO and attending car shows where she created many friendships.

She is survived by her husband, Don Rutledge of Jerseyville; five children,  Rose Hand of Brighton, Patty (PJ) Barten of Jerseyville,  Jim (Sherry) Rutledge of Brighton, Jennifer (Keith) Maulden of O’Fallon, Missouri, Daryl (Leah) Randolph of Shipman; sixteen grandchildren Cris (Emilee), Jimmy(Kerri), Jamie, Heather, Jameson, Missy (Kevin), Jessica (Brandon), Shawn, Stephen (Paige), Aaron (Megan), MacKenzie (Ben), Sarah, Pete, Paige, Aiyanna, and Noah; ten great grandchildren Alex, Caden, TJ, Kaylee, Holly, Gunner, Asher, Clara, Hadley, Anderson; as well as a brother and sister in-law, brother John and Brenda Bramley Jr.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, John and Frances Bramley; a son Bradley Randolph; as well as a sister, Frances Diann Groves.

A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023, at Bethalto Christian Church.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial tributes to be directed to Carolyn’s funeral fund to assist with expenses.
