BETH DALTON
JERSEYVILLE - Beth A. (Stinnett) Dalton, 67, died at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Evercare of Jerseyville.
She was born in Jerseyville, Illinois on December 30, 1958, the second of four children born to William Thomas and Marjorie Ann (Schneider) Stinnett.
She was a proud member of the Class of 1977 at Jersey Community High School and worked tirelessly organizing various events as well as their class reunions.
Beth was a woman with many interests and found joy in most every situation, whether it was traveling, going to the casino, having dance parties with her grandchildren. Speaking of dancing, one of her favorite joys was dancing with her husband, David, as they listened to the music of "Back in the Saddle".
She enjoyed sharing recipes and cooking, and her deviled eggs could be considered her best work.
Most importantly, Beth loved her family with an unwavering passion. She had a heart of gold, and a voice of an angel. Once you were family, you remained family. She loved nothing more than to be surrounded by her family and her friends, sharing her beautiful smile to go along with every story and every laugh.
For many years, she was employed as an Executive Secretary at Alton Children's Home, where she was able to provide the same loving care and attention.
She married David Lee Dalton on April 27, 1996 at the Peace United Church of Christ in Jerseyville, and together they have shared nearly 30 years of marriage.
Surviving are her husband, David Dalton; three sons, Joshua (Laura) Ealey of Brighton, Allen (Kate) Ealey and Lucas (Heidi) Ealey all of Alton; step daughter, Gina (Kirk) Hillman of Scottsdale, Az.; 11 grandchildren; daughter in-love, Melissa Dandino of Delhi; a brother, Ben (Nancy) Stinnett of Shipman; along with many dear friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Clay Stinnett in infancy and Timothy Wayne Stinnett of May 17, 2021.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until time of services at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
Memorials may be given to her family in care of the funeral home.
