WILLIAM MUNDY JR.
SOUTH ROXANA – William F. “Will” Mundy Jr., 35, formerly of Jerseyville, died Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Saint Louis University Hospital.
He was born on September 18, 1983 in Jerseyville to William F. Mundy Sr and the former Barbara Pate, and grew up in Jerseyville where he attended Jersey Community High School.
Will worked various jobs throughout the years and enjoyed fishing and following sports of any kind, especially the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears. He had a tremendous work ethic, remarkable sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews.
Surviving are his mother and step-father, Barbara and Mike Camerer of Greenville; three sisters and their spouses, Rebecca and Kenneth Herrin of Cottage Hills; Pamela Mundy of South Roxana and Krista and Skyler Kallal of Jerseyville; his nieces and nephews, Lucas, Jacob, Nathan, Brooke and Logan; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, William “Bill” Mundy on April 22, 2017; paternal grandparents, Sherman Mundy and Mamie and Jerome Narup; maternal grandparents, Joe and Sue Plieming; an uncle, John Mundy; and a cousin, Justin Mundy.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville where funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Friday.
Burial will take place at the Kane Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials may be given to the family in care of the funeral home.
