RONALD YOUNGBLOOD
JERSEYVILLE - Ronald Warren Youngblood, 74, died suddenly at 1:44 p.m., Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Jersey Community Hospital in Jerseyville.
He was born in Missouri on September 13, 1944, and was the son of William O'Don and Helen (Raulsten) Youngblood.
He graduated in 1962 from Jersey Community High School, and was employed in the plastics industry for over 25 years, beginning with Ropers Plastics (now Ro-Pak) in Jerseyville and Chicago, and retired from their Mansfield, Texas facility. He returned to the area in the early 1990's, and began a second career in agriculture, beginning with Richters in Calhoun County, and later with Shipman Elevator (now CHS), retiring as a field applicator.
Surviving are two sons and a daughter in-law, Rick Youngblood of Jerseyville and Scott and Lisa Youngblood of Jerseyville; 10 Grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a step-daughter, Rhonda, and her family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary Youngblood and Denny Youngblood.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville, where funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Friday.
Burial will be in the Noble Cemetery in Otterville.
Memorials may be given to the Shriners Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
