MYRON EBERLIN

DOW – Myron Jeffrey Eberlin, 55, died Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Christian Hospital Northeast in Saint Louis, Missouri.

He was born on March 2, 1964 in Jerseyville to the late Charles and Geraldine (Pohlman) Eberlin.

A lifelong resident of Jersey County, Myron grew up as part of a large family in Grafton, learning early on the values of hard work.

He was a 1982 graduate of Jersey Community High School and began working as a Pipefitter for Local 562 in Saint Louis, Missouri, dedicating over 25 years of service throughout his career.

He married the former Anna Hackethal on December 30, 1997 in Jerseyville and throughout their 21 years of marriage have shared in the joys of raising their large family with one another.

Myron was a man who took pleasure in the simple things in life. There was nothing that brought him more joy than spending time with his family, most especially his grandchildren, who were his absolute pride and joy. The memories  He and Anna were able to create with them, in their very own backyard oasis, are ones that will be forever cherished.

Surviving are his wife, Anna Eberlin of Dow; six children, Zachary Eberlin of East Alton; Kaci Eberlin and Joey Eberlin, both of Jerseyville; TJ Yates and Morgan Yates, both of Coffeen and Blake Eberlin of Dow; 12 grandchildren; five sisters, Myra and Glen Morse of Chesterfield, MO; Moyna and Ron Hannig of Staunton; Mary Holland, and her longtime companion, Jay, of Spring Branch, TX; Melissa and David Bryant of Naples, FL and Marsha Knoll of Jerseyville; two brothers, Mark Eberlin, and his longtime companion, Carolyn of Jerseyville and Mickey and Tara Eberlin of Godfrey.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Myah Eberlin-Brown; a sister and brother in-law, Myrna and Bill Weid as well as a brother in-law, Dan Knoll.

Memorial visitation will be held from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m., Thursday, September 19, 2019 at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.

In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials may be given to the family in care of the funeral home.
