LULA BELLE STALCUP
NAPERVILLE - Lula Belle (Turner) Stalcup, 87, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at her residence with her loving son at her side.
She was born in Kane on March 23, 1931, and was the daughter of the late Emery and Mildred (Reno) Turner.
She and her husband, Lawrence Stalcup, spent the majority of their married life in Naperville, where they raised their son, but "Lu" always had a special place in her heart for her hometown of Kane.
Surviving are her son and daughter in-law, Rick and Corda Stalcup of Naperville; a granddaughter, Amanda Silfies; a great granddaughter, Maddie Silfies; a sister in-law, Betty Ebbler of Jerseyville; a brother in-law, Herman Landreth; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 59 years, Lawrence Stalcup on May 21, 2011; her sisters and brothers in-law, Hazel and Johnny Byland, Alberta and Keith Flowers Landreth, Betty and Leacqo Woolsey; and two brothers and a sister in-law, Alfred "Bud" and Anna Turner and Gilbert Turner.
A Visitation for Lula Belle was conducted on Sunday in Naperville.
Local visitation is scheduled for Tuesday from 10 a.m., until time of funeral services at 12 noon at the Kane Baptist Church. Rev. Chuck Keene will officiate.
She will be laid to rest in the Kane Cemetery.
Crawford Funeral Home in in Jerseyville is in charge of the arrangements.
