DORIS MILLER

FIELDON - Doris Jean Miller, 74, died Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield. 

She was born on October 23, 1944 in Greenfield, one of fourteen children born to the late Harvey and Alta (McDonald) Bell. 

Doris first married William Hedden and together they were the parents of four children. 

She later married Ronnie Miller and he survives. 

Doris's main focus throughout her life was to provide a loving and nurturing home for her children and she enjoyed each and every moment she was able to spend with her family.

Surviving are her husband, Ronnie Miller of Fieldon; four children and their spouses, Rhonda and Charles Roesset of Brentwood, CA; Kimberly and John Furr of Chatham; Brian and Emily Hedden of Jerseyville and Shawn Hedden of Fieldon; twelve grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren, and one on the way; eight brothers and sisters, Frances Damm of Greenview; Catherine Smith of Pittsfield; Kenneth Bell of Summer Hill; Carl Bell of Petersburg; Wanda McMillen of Carrollton; Glen (Nancy) Bell of Athens; Robert Bell of Gillespie and Raymond Bell and his companion, David Miller, of Springfield. 

In addition to her parents and the father of her children, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Hilda Eller, Eileen Johnston, Shirley Gunning and Sue Warren; as well as a brother, Harvey Bell. 

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of funeral services at 2 p.m., Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville with Rev. Bo Schultz officiating. 

Burial will be at the Fieldon Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials may be given to the family in care of the funeral home.
